Trauma-Informed Approaches: From Māori and Pasifika Perspectives – Online Workshop
Whāraurau invites you to our online:
Trauma-Informed Approaches workshop
Trauma-informed care is a term used to describe a practice and framework that aims to increase the focus on identifying trauma in people who attend social services. It's about understanding the impact of trauma on behaviour and ensuring that agencies working with children, young people and adults minimise the potential to re-traumatise them, as well as address their trauma needs.
This learning provides foundation training and development for the children's workforce and caregivers of children/mokopuna to raise awareness of trauma-informed care within Aotearoa New Zealand. This online workshop will also look at trauma-informed approaches from Māori and Pacific perspectives.
The recording of this workshop will be available in the new year. The slides for this workshop are under the resource tab.
