Aotearoa’s age of criminal responsibility is lower than many other countries around the world and a few organisations including Amnesty and other experts would like the government to do something about this. As a start, the aim is to change the age from 10 to 12 and then up to 14.
The KPI Programme and Whāraurau present time with Dr Enys Delmage (consultant in adolescent forensic psychiatry) and Dr James Knight (child and adolescent psychiatrist) who explore the evidence and the importance of raising the age of criminal responsibility in Aotearoa New Zealand.
