Permanent Part-time role in Diabetes with our Paediatric Endocrine and Diabetes Service (0.6 FTE/24 hours per week)

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have a permanent part-time role available within the Starship Consult Liaison Team –Diabetes Service, to provide high quality clinical psychology assessments and interventions for children and adolescents and their family/whānau attending the Starship Paediatric Endocrine & Diabetes Service.

We are a friendly, hard-working and motivated service that provide mental health assessments and interventions for children; adolescents and their whānau (family) attending Starship inpatient and outpatient services.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

As a Registered Clinical Psychologist, you will:

Provide a high quality; evidence based clinical psychological service to children and families. There is potential to do some neuropsychology assessments also.
Have prior clinical psychology experience working with children and adolescents. Previous clinical experience with paediatric medical services is an advantage but not a requirement
Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to specialist information/ knowledge to the planning of care.
Maintain a clinical caseload and administrative systems.
