Here is an exciting opportunity for an Infant/Child/Adolescent Mental Health Clinician to work in our Starship Paediatric Consult Liaison Team!
Part-time, Fixed term role (24 hours per week) for three years
Development opportunity for an experienced clinician
Working with children, adolescents and whanau under the care of Gastroenterology.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have a part-time role available within the Starship Consult Liaison Team, for an experienced Infant/Child/Adolescent Mental Health Clinician to provide high quality clinical psychology assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease and their family/whanau attending the Gastroenterology Starship Services. This role would suit a Mental Health Nurse, a Clinical Psychologist, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist or a Social Worker.
We are a friendly, hard-working and motivated service that provide mental health assessments and interventions for children; adolescents and their whānau (family) attending Starship inpatient and outpatient services.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
As a qualified Infant/Child/Adolescent Mental Health Clinician, this role will
Suit a Mental Health Nurse, a Clinical Psychologist, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist or a Social Worker
Require a Post graduate Diploma or Master’s degree and/or Postgraduate mental health qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
NZ Registered in relevant professional discipline
Clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Provision of high-quality evidence based clinical child and adolescent mental health assessments, therapies and interventions for children and adolescents and their families/whanau under the care of Starship medical and surgical services.
Provision of liaison and consultation on specialist field of child mental health knowledge to paediatric health professionals and multidisciplinary teams in Starship Hospital, schools, agencies and patient groups as indicated.
