Psychologist - Manukau

A role focussed on delivering brief interventions within a primary mental health context

- Aim of improving health and wellbeing in primary health as well as interfacing with community services and secondary healthcare
- Primary healthcare organisation (PHO) setting
- Full-time permanent position (part-time considered) based at our Manukau Fresh Minds premises

The opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Psychologist with training and experience in evidence-based talking therapies (particularly brief interventions) to join our friendly and diverse Manukau team.

As a registered health professional with a current practicing certificate, you will also have comprehensive clinical experience in modalities such as ACT, CBT and FACT, and a passion for working with people from all walks of life in a brief intervention primary mental health context. You will also ideally have experience working in a mental health setting (primary or secondary) undertaking mental health and wellbeing assessments, child, youth and family focused interventions, and providing talking therapies. You will be flexible, a self-starter and able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Our service sees individuals and families across the age range and offers a range of interventions, including brief interventions, intensive therapy under ACC contracts, tele-therapy, 'live' interactive webinars, parenting programmes, Mindfulness and other groups.
