Infant, Child & Adolescent Mental Health - University of Auckland

For those in work where the main focus is addressing the mental health difficulties and needs of children and/or adolescents

The University of Auckland is very pleased to continue to offer Postgraduate Courses in Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health:  Certificate / Diploma / Masters
These programmes are for those in work where the main focus is addressing the mental health difficulties and needs of children and/or adolescents, i.e. those working in ICAMH services or similar (including Iwi & NGO services, primary youth mental health services, school nurses and guidance counsellors).

For those who meet criteria, there is full funding for the Postgraduate Certificate in ICAMH, now with over 500 graduates from across New Zealand.

The Diploma courses are usually done after the Certificate. However, you can enrol for the whole Diploma or for individual courses (Certificate of Proficiency).

There is full funding for the CBT with children, adolescents and their families course and for the Youth Forensics course.

There is some funding for the other Diploma courses:

  • Models of Therapy
  • Early Childhood Mental Health
  • Youth Addictions
