Dr Grant Christie is a Child and Adolescent, and Addiction Psychiatrist who has been working and researching in outpatient and residential youth addiction services in NZ and Australia for way too long.

He is lead clinician for the CADS Youth Service and the Pregnancy & Parental Service, Auckland and is passionate about improving the treatment of young people at risk of addiction and enhancing the management of co-existing disorder in mental health services and primary care.

He has a doctorate from the University of Auckland for research in screening and brief interventions and has developed youth addiction treatment resources, training packages and guidelines that are used widely in NZ and further afield. He is expanding this work to design youth addiction treatment via internet and app based modalities.
