Biography

Rachel is a Workforce Delivery Advisor  within Te Taunaki Mātua Pouako (Parent and Teacher team). She is responsible for the management of support activities relating to the delivery of the Triple P Positive Parenting programme in Aotearoa.  

Rachel is originally from Canada and moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2010, and worked in the education sector here prior to joining Whāraurau.   

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies, Bachelor’s in Education, Bachelor’s (Hons) in Physical and Health Education, a Master’s in Public and Population Health, a PhD in Health Education and a Postgraduate Diploma in counselling.

As a teacher, I have witnessed, firsthand, the impact of the recent pandemic on the mental health and well-being of students, and I’m committed to supporting our workforce to design and deliver meaningful, authentic, and impactful programming for all New Zealanders.”
