CBA – Cognitive Behavioural Approaches with Ursula McCulloch
Whāraurau invites you to attend:
CBA – Cognitive Behavioural Approaches with Ursula McCulloch in Christchurch
Cognitive Behavioural Approaches is a two-day training course suitable for clinicians working in mental health with children ranging in age from preschool to adolescence. This is a practical course rather than purely theoretical, with hands-on examples on ways to use Cognitive Behavioural approaches with children. It is designed for clinicians without any CBT training and explores the model and framework of CBT in a simple way that can be directly applied to clinical work.
This course covers ways to engage children and adolescence, and some of the barriers to this, and focuses mainly on working with anxiety and depression using cognitive behavioural strategies. Video material of CBT sessions are watched and discussed, using the video training materials from the Centre for Clinical Interventions, Perth, alongside the examples from the clinical experience of the presenters. Cultural considerations are interwoven throughout the course.
