In this half-day introductory trauma training you will gain insights into core concepts of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), explore Māori models of care and engage in breakout sessions. 

 

You will learn: 

  • Cultural insights: Gain an understanding of trauma through a Te Ao Māori lens. This will introduce you to the aspect of cultural safety
  • TIC fundamentals: Acquire core concepts of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), empowering you with practical knowledge applicable in various contexts
  • Māori models of care: Explore Māori models of care that contribute to a holistic understanding of trauma and well-being
  • Interactive learning: Engage in breakout rooms, fostering collaborative learning and allow you to share insights and experiences
