  • Need some tips on how to navigate highly sensitive conversations with youth about drugs?

  • Want to know what services are available and where to find the latest information?

With summer events and festivals fast approaching, it’s important that taiohi | young people, who may use substances, are getting the most up-to-date information about drug use and drug checking. These conversations can be highly sensitive and the Drug Foundation is here to help.

Drug Foundation’s Executive Director Sarah Helm and Learning and Development Director Dr. Annabel Prescott will guide you on effectively communicating about drugs and how to stay informed.

During the session, learners will:

  • Hear about key skills for effectively sharing information with taiohi | young people
  • Learn about available drug-checking services
  • Understand how these services link to notifications and alerts about potent drugs in the community
  • Discover ways to direct young people to reliable harm-reduction information
