This lunchtime learning session led by Romy Lee will cover the fundamentals of the youth peer support role in the context of taiohi mental health and addiction services. 
 

Romy will cover a range of topics including: 

  • The background to the peer workforce 
  • Defining of roles 
  • Examples of clinical and peer services 
  • Examples of peer-led services 
  • Implications for taiohi accessing the service 
     

We will be joined by Jack Mutch, a Youth Peer Support Worker from Mirror Services in Dunedin. Jack will speak about his experience as a Youth Peer Support Worker, how he got into the role, how he supports young people and how he works in a clinical environment.
