Join us for a one-day training experience in Christchurch that will equip the workforce with skills to engage effectively with rangatahi. The training will delve into key topics that are directly relevant to frontline mahi with rangatahi in various settings, including residential care, supported bail, alternative education, and community settings.
In this training, participants will:
• Gain a deeper understanding of the interconnections between unmet needs, underlying conditions, and the social and systemic factors.
• Explore strategies for fostering a sense of agency and ownership in rangatahi, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
• Navigate substance misuse, mental health, and offending behaviours.
• Explore evidence-based practices and interventions that address the root causes and empower rangatahi to make sustainable changes.
Led by experienced facilitator Pete Thorburn, this training provides a unique opportunity to learn from Pete's extensive experience that ensures a grounded and authentic approach to the subject matter.
Trainings provided by Pete Thorburn of Meth Education and Solution Services Limited (MESSNZ) are DAPAANZ points approved, demonstrating their alignment with professional development standards. Furthermore, participation in this training may qualify for recognition of professional development with other registering bodies.
