An in-person Incredible Years® National Two-Day Forum in Auckland.

Whāraurau, with the support of the Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, are hosting this two-day event on Thursday 16 & Friday 17 February 2023 in Auckland.

There will be a variety of quality presentations on Incredible Years practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. Come along for an invaluable opportunity for growth and networking with colleagues from around New Zealand.

This forum is open to all group leaders, peer coaches, and mentors in all the Incredible Years programmes in NZ. PB4L advisors, cluster managers, NGO managers, etc are also all welcome to attend.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

The programme for the two days will be different, so please tick both sessions when you register below if you'd like to attend the full forum.

You need to have completed training in any of the Incredible Years® programmes to register, unless you are involved in IY in another way (PB4L advisor, cluster manager, NGO manager, etc)

 

Programme (subject to change):

Day 1 – Thursday 16 Feb 2023:
 

  • Registrations open at 8am and forum opens at 9am
  • Opening 
  • Opening address
  • MOE/IY rebrand launch and welcoming of puppets
  • Keynote. Carolyn Webster-Stratton. Promoting Diversity and a Transcultural Approach followed by a Questions and Answers sessions
  • Three sessions of workshops and presentations to follow lunch. Working titles for these presentations and workshops can be seen below.

  • A treat of puppet entertainment. 
  • Māori and Pacific Cultural Perspectives Presentations
  • Culture, Fidelity, and Tailoring Presentation
  • The Impact of the IY Programmes Working Together in Communities
  • Three sessions of workshops and presentations to follow lunch. Working titles for these presentations and workshops can be seen below.
