TRIPLE P AWARENESS CAMPAIGN: STAY POSITIVE

A strategy to help parents know that it is okay to ask for help and to know where to get that help is critical to helping as many parents and kids as possible. We also want to let the community of providers and potential referrers about the programme. To achieve this Triple P created a communications strategy called Stay Positive. Stay Positive uses high-quality, high-impact materials to normalise parenting stress and destigmatise parents asking for help. Parents (and the professional community) learn how to access the programme in their area. 
 
The materials include:

*Did you know that for some parents reading about strategies other New Zealand families have used to improve things in their homes is enough for them to make a positive difference in their home!

PARENT RESOURCES

The parent resources are funded by the Ministry of Health and can be accessed by trained practitioners from local lead agencies.

Resources include:

Primary Care Triple P

•  Positive Parenting Booklet (given to every parent participating in Primary Care Triple P)

•  TipSheets (0-12)

Triple P Discussion Groups

  • Parent Workbooks

Online Triple P

  • Codes for parents to access Triple P Online

Lead agencies may also have DVDs on different topics that they are able to loan to enable you to meet the needs of the parents you support, e.g. Indigenous Triple P, Dealing with Stress, Every Parent Survival Guide for Hearing Impaired.
