Whāraurau invites you to attend an online forum:

"I am Gen Z”, an insight into the digital world and steps to digital wellbeing

This forum will look at understanding the online world and supporting digital wellbeing in tamariki and taiohi.’

Including the very first Aotearoa screening of the award-winning movie “I am Gen Z” . This movie shows how digital technology impacts mental wellbeing through the eyes of Gen Z, psychologists, and technologists.

This training offers a unique opportunity to watch the movie and digital wellbeing presentation with others working in the mental health space. A Q&A session will give you time to reflect and explore the topics further.

About the film

Through expert interviews and the web lens of Generation Z, the documentary explores how the digital revolution is impacting our society, our brains and mental health, how the forces driving it are working against humanity and have put us on a dangerous trajectory that has huge ramifications for this first generation growing up with mobile digital technology. This screening will be the shortened version of “I am Gen Z" (52 minutes).

About the panel

Whāraurau are giving you the opportunity to watch this award-winning documentary alongside other health practitioners working with youth in Aotearoa, and a panel of specialists, including the “I am Gen Z” filmmaker.

Join us for an insight into this powerful medium and what we can do minimise the negative impacts.
