Lunchtime learning: DMC | What young people want from services

  • ​​​Are you interested in what young people experience when accessing mental health and addiction services and the aspirations they have for improvement? 

  • Do you want to know how to support young people from a lived experience perspective? 


In this one-hour online lunchtime learning session you will hear from Whāraurau’s youth advisory team and get insights from their 2023 DMC report.  

The DMC (Deep and Meaningful Conversations) report is a summary of what the Youth Advisory Team heard from young people during the DMC events. The DMCs aim to provide an opportunity for rangatahi | young people to come together, engage in discussions about what matters to them, and amplify the youth voice.

 

Learning outcomes: 

  • Understand what wellbeing looks like to rangatahi | young people
  • Explore the diverse experiences of accessing support
  • Hear young peoples' vision for ideal support systems
  • Understand how services can support young people from a lived experience perspective
