Lunchtime Learning: Understanding gambling - the impact on tamariki and taiohi

The session will cover:  

• Gambling - the hidden addiction and the impact on tamariki and taiohi  
• The harm caused by stigma and shame when gambling remains in the shadows  
• Online loot boxes – the risk to rangatahi  
• The early warning signs of gambling harm, screening tools and the referral process  

The session will be run by Abby Popham from PGF services, who offer free, confidential counselling, peer support and education for people affected by gambling harm, as well as professional development training.
