Dr Hannah Kennedy

Dr Hannah Kennedy completed her PhD on investigating rare genetic variants in families with undiagnosed genetic disorders in 2017. Since 2019 she has been researching eating disorders, with a particular focus on avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). She is interested in both the lived experience of those with ARFID in New Zealand, and understanding the biological mechanisms involved in ARFID (including genetic factors). Her goal is to use her research to open doors to advances in the treatment and prevention of ARFID.
