Professor Susan Morton

Director, Centre for Longitudinal Research - He Ara ki Mua. Foundation Director, Growing Up in New Zealand.

Professor Susan Morton is a Public Health Physician and expert in life course epidemiology and statistical methodologies relevant to the analyses and knowledge translation of evidence from longitudinal, linked and complex population datasets.

She is the Director of the University of Auckland cross-faculty Centre for Longitudinal Research – He Ara ki Mua (C4LongR) and Foundation Director of the contemporary longitudinal child cohort study Growing Up in New Zealand based at the University of Auckland.

In these roles, she partners with multiple government agencies and cross-sectoral stakeholders to undertake scientifically robust research with the explicit objective of providing context-relevant evidence with the utility to improve population health and reduce persistent inequities in wellbeing across the life course.
